Video of Frankie laying in to Congress.I like Pope Frankie. I agree with Matt Taibbi that "His arrival has spawned a Drake/Meek Mill-style diss battle within the pundit class, pitting conservatives bemoaning the pope's false prophecy against liberals swooning over his platitudinous anti-capitalism." Unlike Matt however, I believe that Frankie is sincere and that his words and actions benefit the common good. None of us, including the Pope, are perfect. Every institution, including the Catholic Church, is stained with the blood of innocent people. We can only hope to be better, kinder, more merciful, more graceful tomorrow than we are today. Frankie is giving us directions and encouragement to fulfill that hope.
